Thankful Thursday 1

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name"
Psalm 100:4 (NIV)

This is my first ever post for Thankful Thursday, and I thank the Lord for this opportunity to thank Him on a weekly basis.

Here is my thankful list for this week.
  • I am thankful for God's healing. I had asthma attacks for this week but God has been faithful to heal me and strengthen me.
  • I am thankful for God's constant protection for me and for my family.
  • I am thankful for my ever loving husband. His life is truly a blessing.
  • I am thankful for God's continued provision. God has been faithful to supply my needs and also my wants.
Why don't you thank God today? God truly deserves our thanksgiving.

Commercial Break!

I've been sitting here in front of the computer for about 5 hours already (posting some opp) ... then I remembered the famous line of the child in NIDO Full Cream Milk commercial which says.. "I'm sorry... I got stinky, I got dirty, but see I learned!" this was addressed to her mother telling her that she was sorry because she's already messed up after completing her school project.

My husband texted me already and asked me if I already paid the bills. I told him "not yet"... and this line is for him too... "I'm sorry, I got stinky, I got dirty, but see I earned!"... (LOL!)...

Anyways, got to go now... it's time for a nice cold shower...

On Cover!

Michael V, one of the most talented comedians here in the Philippines is on cover for Reader's Digest Magazine for the month of September. I truly admire this man because he is so talented and very funny. He can easily get into the different characters' heads so easily and he never fails to make his audiences laugh.

I am proud that a Filipino like him is featured as a cover for RD Asia. I just hope our copy for the September issue will arrive the soonest, because most of the time it comes late... (sigh!)

(On the Cover: Michael V, made up like an Old man wearing a Barong Tagalog).

Rubik's Cube

A lot of teenagers here in the Philippines are so fascinated with this puzzle called the Rubik’s cube. It is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. This cube was originally called the “Magic Cube” by it’s inventor and was renamed “Rubik’s cube by Ideal Toys. It has won the German Game of the Year and special award for Best Puzzle of Year in 1980. It is said to be the world’s best selling toy, with over 300,000,000 Rubik’s Cubes and imitations worldwide.
As I was riding on a jeepney, I saw this girl (high school student) holding a Rubik’s cube. She was trying it hard to solve the puzzle and my eyes were glued to her hand. As I look around, I noticed that all of the passengers of that jeepney are also staring at her hand and eager to see how she will solve the puzzle. Unfortunately, she hasn’t solved the puzzle as I was expecting.
My cousins were really good in solving this puzzle. I once borrowed one of their cubes and they just laughed at me because I couldn’t solve it, just even one side. I saw a lot of people on TV who were really very good in solving this puzzle. Some can do it in just a matter of seconds and sometimes they solve it with blindfolds. Amazing!
I guess I just need to have a practice for this. It’s never late to try... isn't it?

What Kind of Blogger Are You?

You Are a Life Blogger!

Your blog is the story of your life - a living diary.

If it happens, you blog it. And make it as entertaining as possible.

This is really true! Whatever happens to me, may it be happy or sad, I really love to blog about it. Most of the time, there are a lot of interesting events that happened in my life, but I end up with no post at all because I don't know which one to write first. (LOL!) My blog is truly a story of my life. Just that, there are really very personal matters that I cannot post here because I might be misinterpreted by my readers . I aim to inspire the people who read my blog. To share to them that life is truly wonderful if it is lived with a right relationship with God.

Pinoy Idol

(Pinoy Idol Top 3)

I've just finished watching the grand finals of the show “Pinoy Idol” (Philippine's version of American Idol). Actually, I am not an avid viewer of the show, but I just happened to watch it because my mother in law watches it every night given that one of the contestants named Ram Chaves is from Cagayan de Oro City. My Nanay (grandmother) also loves to watch this show because of Ram. (he.he.he.he. pang tingulang diay ni ang Pinoy Idol?) Both my mother in law and my Nanay voted for Ram Chaves. Sad to say he didn’t make it to be the Pinoy Idol. Even if he did not win, I would like to congratulate him for making it to the Top 3. Congrats to you Ram!It was Gretchen Espina (photo below) from Biliran who won as “Pinoy Idol”. She also deserves to win. Aside from her talent in singing, she’s also tall, sexy and beautiful. Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!

My answers:
1. Household chores that I hate:
  • Cleaning ---Not really hate... I love cleaning the house, but If possible I don't like to be exposed to a lot of dust because it trigger my allergies and this could lead to asthma attacks. But sometimes I have no choice, I just cover my nose with a mask.
  • Ironing the Clothes --- I really don't like to iron clothes because my hands get stiff after doing it. Thanks to hubby, sometimes he saves me from this chore. (LOL!)
2. Do you think you can survive without helpers or nannies?
Yes of course! I am used to doing a lot of household chores when I was just a kid. Even today, we don't have a helper and yet I can still survive. But I truly believe, life could be a lot easier if there's a nanny or a helper who could help you in doing household chores. As the saying goes... "two are better than one"...

Now I'm tagging Cookie, Lalaine, Darling and Luv2.

Got to go now, I still have one mountain to climb...

Life to the Fullest!

I got this poem from Dayspring and I like it very much because it has a lot of encouragement. Even if we are now facing a lot of crises, but still we realize that we are still truly bless . Life can be lived to the fullest because we know God is in control and He will never leave us, nor forsake us.

Life to the Fullest
by: Holley Girth

Your Life is full of...
JOY because God has a plan for you.
"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

PEACE because God will be with you wherever you go.
"I am with you always" Matthew 28:20
HOPE because God is working in your behalf.
"In all things, God works for the good of those
who love Him". Romans 8:28

LOVE because God deeply loves you.
"How wide, and long, and deep and high
is the love of Christ" Ephesians 3:18

STRENGTH because God gives everything you need.
"I can do everything through HIM
who gives me strength" Phil.4:13

CONFIDENCE because God made you who you are.
"God saw all that he had made,
and it was good" Genesis 1:31

COURAGE because God can do more than you can imagine.
"With God, all things are possible" Matthew 19:26
-----------------------------------

"I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full" John 10:10
