The Bathroom

Taking a bath has never been so much fun especially when the bathroom is so nice and comfortable. Sometimes, I can’t help myself but dream about having a bathtub where I can plunge myself on it. How I wish I have a very spacious and nice bathroom, where I can halt for a moment and just relax. It would be nice to have a bathroom filled with cool colors and nice bathroom accessories. To comfort myself with this dream, I just browse the internet and search for topics and photos about bathrooms.

Just today, I browsed over this site, http://www.fairfieldbathroomsdirect.co.uk/, a company that sells different kinds of bathroom stuff. As I was browsing on their products, I found some great and modern items that I would love to have for my bathroom. You too can find nice bathroom showers from different manufacturers, bathroom taps and bristan taps that are affordable and made with ideal standard. There are still a lot of bathroom products which I haven’t mentioned on this post. Why don’t you visit the site today and find some great stuff for your bathroom.

Rafting at Cagayan de Oro River

My husband's relatives who were from Manila came here last Wednesday and before they went back home they tried this famous adventure here in Cagayan de Oro, the River Rafting. We planned to do it on a Saturday but didn't make it as all of the schedules for Saturday were fully booked becuase of the Mason's convention which was also held here in Cagayan de Oro. So, we got the Sunday slot, 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon.

After church, we immediately went back home and prepared all our stuff for the said activity. Since, my hubby and I have experienced it already we know now what to do especially with the stuff that we are going to bring. Since, the entire water rafting experience will be 3 hours, we brought with us some snacks because during our first rafting experience, we were so hungry in the middle of the ride.

You might be thinking what are you going to do in the entire 3 hours duration. Of course, you will surely enjoy the time you spent for your rafting adventure becuase you will experience 14 major rapids, and some still waters where you can have a swim and of course you will surely love the beauty of nature. The photos below are some of the scenes we happened to pass by while rafting in Cagayan de Oro river.

What is a Bogie?

Bogie is my nickname. Some would spell my nickname as Boogie (a kind of dance), or Bogie referring to a thing. Just today, I browsed over the meaning of this word “bogie” and I was amazed with what I found.

Source: Wikipedia

A bogie (pronounced /ˈboʊɡi/ US: bō′•gē) is a wheeled wagon or trolley. In mechanics terms, a bogie is a chassis or framework carrying wheels, attached to a vehicle. It can be fixed in place, as on a cargo truck, mounted on a swivel, as on a railway carriage or locomotive, or sprung as in the suspension of a caterpillar tracked vehicle.

Philip Baker: Secrets of Super Achievers

I was cleaning our room today and I found this book "Secrets of Super Achievers" by Philip Baker. It was given to me by my cousin Lalaine which was brought by her husband from Malaysia. It was a Christmas gift but until now I haven't finished reading the book. (tsk.tsk.tsk.) At the middle of my cleaning, I stopped for awhile and read the book to give myself a break. I finished the whole chapter 1 and tonight I will try to finish around 1 or 2 chapters. I like this book becuase it gives me great insights on becoming a better person.

Chapter 1 of this book talks about the Quest for Character. As I quote from the book "Character is about doing what right, and not necessarily what is convenient or well received. Character is about building an inner world that remains stable and secure, despite external concerns or comforts".

I will share my learning from the other chapters on my next post.

House Cleaning Day

It's Saturday and it's my house cleaning schedule. Actually not every Saturday but just for this day becuase this is the only Saturday I chose not to go out. I love cleaning the house but I always end up having colds becuase I'm allergic to dusts. I'm ashmatic, you know! Despite that, I still do it becuase I love it. I started cleaning today at around 11:00 am and I finished at around 5:00 PM. Wheew!!! Our house is not that big but I consumed a lot of time in sorting and arranging stuff. It was indeed a general cleaning but I'm not yet done with the other rooms. We'll I guess that would be my husband's part. LOL!

Family of Bloggers

I’m into blogging because my cousin Lalaine introduced me to it. I was motivated to blog because of the earnings she got from paid posts. So now, I’m earning from paid posts like her. After a few months, I happened to dropped by my other cousin’s blog, Eleanor. She’s also into blogging and she has so many blogs. Whenever we have the chance to meet each other, we always talk about blogs and opps and the like. Some of our relatives don’t find us interesting because they can’t relate to what we are talking about. But now, I’m so amazed because my Nanay, aunties, and cousins are also into blogging. Wow! We are now a family of bloggers. They can now understand how it is to be a blogger too. LOL! For now, they are still into adding widgets on their blogs and looking for some nice templates. I will have to post their links on my next post so you could also visit their blogs.

Facing the Giants

Have you seen the movie “Facing the Giants”? It’s a beautiful movie about having faith in God. One of the best learning I had with the movie is the truth that indeed “Nothing is Impossible with God”. Even if situations won't agree with what your faith is telling you… just continue to believe that nothing is impossible with God. Are you experiencing a difficult situation today? This movie is good for you. It will stir up your faith in God as well as trust His promises in your life.

God Answers...

Yesterday, my husband said that there’s a car accident along Gusa Road here in Cagayan de Oro City. He said that it was a Bugo Jeepney that was hit by a big truck. I was a bit worried with the news because I might have relatives riding in that jeep. My brother came to our house last night and told me about the accident too. He said that he could have ridden that jeep too together with my mom, but the driver didn’t saw them that’s why they took the other jeepney instead.

After the talk with my brother, I was so thankful to God that indeed he answered my prayers. That incident was one of the answers to my prayers. I always been praying for my family’s safety and I’m thankful that God is protecting and keeping my family safe. Thank you Lord!

I’ve heard that the passengers of that jeepney were brought to the hospital. Let’s pray for their fast recovery…

The Green Dress

My 5 year old niece Chloe, is very much excited because she's going to be one of the flower girls of a wedding this coming Saturday. We talked over the phone and she happily shared to me that she will be wearing her white stockings, white shoes and of course, her green dress. She will then walk down the aisle, showering petals. I reminded her to smile and she added “because somebody will take pictures of me.” She’s indeed very prepared for the wedding. I know she’s so excited because of the dress she will be wearing for the event. She is so fond of wearing fancy dress and her favorite is the Princess Belle dress which she wore on her 5th Birthday. Anyway, she’s now counting the days because she’s waiting for Saturday and wear her nice green dress.

Saving for the Rainy Days (2)

Last January I've made a post "Saving for the Rainy Days", where I talked about my coin bank. Last Friday, we finally opened our coin bank. I think this is the most exciting part when we save. So, my husband opened it and started counting all the coins from the can. We have saved around 3,000 pesos. Before, we planned to buy something from it but we decided to add it to our savings in the bank. I went to the bank the following day and brought all the coins... it was so heavy... as if I was bringing a bomb! ..ha.ha.ha..
Today, we plan to continue what we have started. We don't have a coin bank or a piggy bank yet, but we will try to find one tomorrow so we can start saving again. :)

Toll-Free Numbers

Four years ago, I worked as a customer service assistant. My job was to orient people how to use their ATM Cards as well as giving them instructions on what to do if they encounter problems in the future. If the problem can’t be solved they need to call a customer service representative on a toll-free number given to them. Some of the older clients we had didn’t understand what a toll-free number is. They keep on asking about the cost of making the call. We just answered them politely that it is free of charge.

Toll- free numbers are now very common and have proven to be successful for businesses, particularly in the areas of customer service and telemarketing. It allows individuals to reach businesses without being charged for the call. In this way, people are more attracted to make a call or make responses about the business. Some of the businesses here in the Philippines had higher customer satisfaction and had facilitated interoffice communications while improving cost efficiency because of this.

If you want your business to attract more responses to would be customers, why not have a toll-free number for your business. It’s very beneficial to have one because this will be your means of staying in touch with your customers. It will also give you an update about your customer’s needs and help you boost customer service. A toll-free number will also help you get an update on the trends in the market because it will then be easier for your customers to reach you. Most of all, customers loves toll-free numbers because it’s FREE!

So, if you want to get your business a good break; why not get your 800 number at 800PBX Inc. It’s a company dedicated to providing one of the best toll-free virtual pbx services in the industry. There services are loaded with features and they have amazingly low monthly fee.

Close to Nature

I wanted to have a house that has a touch of nature. A modern house with an accent of wood would be perfect for me and my husband. Of course the furniture must be made of wood to compliment the design of the house. I would like our bedroom to be similar with that of the photo below. It so nice to have a log furniture particularly in the bedroom. It makes the room more classic and unique. Aside from that, the room looks rugged yet elegant. Having a house and a room like this would make me feel that I’m always on a vacation.

Internet Connection Problem

Last Monday, my husband asked me to call our internet subscriber because there something wrong with our connection. It’s not a big problem though, but there’s a slight delay with the connection. It’s very noticeable because we never had any problem with it until last Monday. So, I called and the customer representative immediately detected the problem. He told me, that I will just have to wait for their action the following day. But after a few minutes, the connection was already okay. I guess the problem has to do with our telephone line. Maybe the fiber optic cables needs to be replaced particularly the lc multimode. I hope I can no longer experience problems with my connection in the future.

Word-Filled Wednesday: "The Question"

Whenever, I experience difficulties and doubts in life, I always find this question as a source of my encouragement. I am always reminded that indeed nothing is too difficult for the Lord. Not even our cares, our problems, our struggles. He is the God of all flesh and there is nothing too hard for Him to do.

You can find the answers to this question in the succeeding verse of Genesis 18 as well as in Jeremiah 32:17 and Jeremiah 32:27. Hope you find this question an encouragement! God bless everyone and happy Word-filled Wednesday.

The Executive Recruiter

When I was in Thailand, I had the opportunity to join a mock interview for a job application. What makes it interesting was, my role there is one of the interviewers of the applicants. The applicants were the students of that English institution where I helped as a summer volunteer. The aim of the mock interview is to find out how these Thai students learned in their English Conversation class. Together with my church friends, we acted like we were Executive recruiter that day. It was such a nice experience and it’s good to be an executive in just a few hours of your life.

Out of Reach

I received a message from my Friendster account that my high school friends met together last April 3, 2009. I was sad because I missed the fun and I wasn’t informed about it. We seldom see each other, and if that happen it would be probably after a year or two. That is why I’m excited to meet them if there’s an opportunity. Today, I happened to communicate with one my high school friends through chat. I told her that I was a bit sad because they didn’t inform me about their meeting. She told me that they didn’t know where to find me. They tried to call me but my phone is out of reach. It was then I realized that I have already changed my number and nobody from them knew about it. Tsk.tsk.tsk.. It was all my fault! Anyway, we’ll meet together after the holy week.

Sunday Movie Night

When it is Sunday night, my husband usually doesn’t have time to watch movies as he needs to sleep early because of his work the following day. But tonight will be different. We will have a Sunday movie night together. I guess we’ll start to watch by 10:30 pm as he still playing computer games and I am also blogging. We’re planning to watch something funny tonight, but I still don’t know what kind of movie we’re going to watch tonight. He said it’s a surprise. My husband is now preparing the DVD and the DVD player. He wanted to put the big speaker on the TV, but I told him it won’t be necessary as we might disturb the neighbors. My husband is so fond with audio-visual set-up and effects and one of his dreams is to have a good home theater systems. He plans to renovate the other room as his home theater at the same time his music studio. He plans to put nice home theater speakers on it. But that would just be a dream for now because we still don’t have the resources for the things we need for it. Anyway, I know that will come at the right time. For the mean time, we’ll just have to enjoy what we have and enjoy the night as well.

A Summer Fan

My niece Chloe (together with her Mommy and Daddy) was here in the house today. When she first saw me, she immediately showed me a piece of paper, a green ribbon and a magazine. She told me that we will make a “summer fan”. The instruction on how to do it was there on the magazine. The paper and the ribbon were the materials to be used for the fan.

Later this afternoon, we started to make the fan. Actually we didn’t follow the instructions on the magazine because we lack some of the materials for it. I just made sure that the finish product will look similar to the one shown in the magazine. Chloe was the one who did the pasting and she enjoyed it very much. Just that, she didn’t like the smell of the glue. (ha.ha.ha.) After everything was done, I enhance it a little bit and Chloe looked at me and said “You’re good Tita Bogie!”

After the summer fan is done, she hurriedly showed it to everybody. I wanted to take a picture of it but she brought it home with her because she liked it so much. Anyway, I will just post the photo soon.

Repainting the Kitchen

Yesterday, I was cleaning the white plastic chair in our house. Actually it doesn’t look white anymore, because it’s already covered with stains and molds (LOL!). It took me a long time to clean it and I did a lot of brushing on it. But the sad part was it didn’t looked clean the way I expected it to be. It does still look dirty. I was thinking maybe it would look clean if I repaint it, but I was afraid that mom might get angry with what I did to her chair. Anyway, I still continued with my plan. As I went outside to get the paint, I remembered that I need to paint the shelves in the kitchen. So there goes the shift of my plan, from painting the chair to painting the kitchen shelves. I cleaned the shelves and started to repaint it and forget about the chair. (LOL!) As I painting, I was also praying that I hope I am doing the right thing. I painted it yellow and it looks nice when the lights are on. I enjoyed painting it and I even did not notice the time. After that I went to my husband’s office and I told him that I did some repainting job at the house. His face was worried. “What part of the house did you paint?” he asked. He was worried coz, mom might get mad with what we did to her house. I told him, it’s just the shelves.

Night came and it’s time to go home, mom was with us. She’s the one who went inside the house first. I was outside waiting for her reaction and she immediately asked my husband… “Did you paint the kitchen? My husband replied… “It’s Bogie who did that!” My mother in law was smiling and told me that it was nice. She liked it and wanted me to paint the whole shelves instead. She even told me, you’re good in painting! Wow! Thank God my husband and mom love my work.

Can't Smile Without You

I was at the mall the other day and happened to see a dental clinic. At the front side of the clinic there’s a huge poster that truly caught my attention. I was curious about the picture, so I stopped and read the poster. It’s all about Dental Implant, a new procedure of replacing missing teeth. I was even more curious how the procedure is being done. I looked at the poster more closely and I was even more amazed as I have come to understand that this is the procedure that most of our local celebrities are getting into. They chose it because it’s the closest prosthetics to natural teeth. Unlike bridges or dentures it doesn’t affect any adjacent teeth. I’m quiet interested about this but my friend told me that it’s quiet costly to have this kind of procedure. I think it’s a bit expensive because the procedure gives you an optimal result.

For those of you who might be interested to have this kind of dental procedure, you can check out San Diego dental implants. You can have a consultation with their implant Dentist, Dr. Safarian. Act now and have that irresistible smile you’ve always dreamed of.

Almost all of us are excited about it and I hope it’s going to be a lot of fun this coming Monday.
