Psalm 18:6

"In my distress I called to the LORD;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him,
into his ears."

Psalm 18:6

God always hears when we call. Isn't this a good news? So let's keep on praying and waiting on God for His answers to happen in our lives.

Halloween Costumes

While we were in Manila, Hubby and I had the opportunity to stroll around different malls in Manila. It was a Friday and there were lots of entertainment going on around each malls. One of the things that caught the customer’s attention was the group of people who wore different Halloween costumes. Everyone wanted to take a photo of them and that includes us. Below are our photos.

Vampire Costume (the man wearing the costume is truly a best actor..LOL!)

Elf Costume - I am not really sure about his costume but his shoes looks like
an elf so maybe that's what is ...
Alien Costume - You can't see the real color of his eyes. It turns blue when someone comes near to him. At first we thought he's isn't real because he was not moving,
but when crowds tried to hold him he moved.

A Nice Cold Shower

When someone is having difficulty in trying to solve problems, oftentimes a nice cold shower would be a great help. It somehow relaxes our minds and helps us to think better. It also helps us gives a fresh view of how things are going on. Sometimes, a nice bathroom would help as it will provide you with a calm environment while bathing. It would be nice to have a bathroom that has all the Bathroom Vanities available, just like this shower column on the photo. It looks very stylish and very unique. Of course, a nice bathroom would be costly but if you have the money then go for it.

My Favorite Food

"Grilled pork" is one of my favorite food. I like it very much especially if I have to eat it with hot rice. This is Yummy but I am controlling my intake as this is not so good for the body but most of the time I can't. LOL! I like this even better when it is paired with a green leafy vegetable. Oh, I just love it...

Hong Kong Disneyland

My mother-in law will be traveling to HongKong tomorrow. She will be touring around Hong Kong Disneyland. I was so excited for her while she's packing up her things today; it makes me wanna go with her too... (ha.ha.) Actually, I have never been to Hong Kong Disneyland and this is one of the places I'd like to visit. It is very easy to visit Hong Kong nowadays because there are now affordable air fares as well as affordable travel promos. So, as early as today I am now planning of saving money for this trip.

Wondering about the photo above? This photo was not taken at Hong Kong Disneyland (as it was pretty obvious). Two weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit "Trinoma," one of the biggest mall in Manila. While inside the mall, we saw their very cute castle decoration with a caption "Hong Kong Disneyland". Without delay, hubby and I posed beside the castle and imagined that we were in Hong Kong Disneyland. Anyway, I am hoping to have a photo at the real HK Disneyland soon.

Yummy Sunday: Camote Tops

This is the usual vegetable salad we have at home. The green leaves are called "camote tops" a common Filipino vegetable which is usually called in Tagalog as "talbos ng camote". I love eating this with porkchop or fried fish. Hmmm..so Yummy!

By the way, I have learned that "camote tops" are rich in iron and they are good for treating dengue. There's still no therapeutic claim on this but I found it to be very effective especially that my cousin's family used "camote tops" by making "camote tops" juice whenever they have fever. I have tried it last July and I find it very effective as well as healthy too. Sound's interesting? Why don't you try it too.

Visiting Tagaytay City

Last Sept. 8, 2009 was my first time to visit Tagaytay City. I went there with hubby and other Pastors from Cagayan de Oro to attend a seminar and a Graduation program. It was an exciting trip as almost all of us were also new to that place. We took a bus ride in going there. Most of the time it would take 2 hours to reach Tagaytay, but because of the heavy traffic it took us 3 hours to come to the destination. The bus ride from EDSA Taft to Tagaytay costs Php 87.00 only. I don't know if this is expensive or not.It was raining and windy when we reached Tagaytay City. The atmosphere was very cold even while inside the place where we are staying. Our team leaders reminded us to bring jackets because the place is really very cold. On the second day of the seminar, we were scheduled to have a City tour around Tagaytay. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come because it was raining very hard. I was praying that on the third day the sun would come out and smile to all of us. God was indeed faithful and Mr. Sun showed up. Since there was a 3 hours vacant in our schedule in the afternoon, hubby and I decided to have a quick tour around the city. We just decided to go in one place because we don't have enough time. We only went to "People's Park in the Sky". We took a "tricycle" in going there where it costs us around Php 200 for the round trip ride. If you find the fare expensive, you can make bargain with the driver.
The Park was a nice place where you can have an overlooking view of Tagaytay. Entrance fee to the park is Php 15.00 per person. According to hubby, the place was different 10 years ago where it was still beautiful. Nowadays, the park wasn't taken cared of. My hubby's aunt told us that only a few are now visiting this place. Most of the tourists went to the "Picnic Grove" where there are a lot of exciting adventures available in there. I also wanted to go there but our time is limited. My hubby's aunt promised to tour us around Tagaytay if ever we can go back to Manila. She would also tour us around "Tagaytay Highlands" one of the nicest place in Tagaytay. Hmmmm... this sounds exciting. I hope to be back soon.

A Birthday Gift for Hubby

Next month is hubby’s birthday. I’m now thinking about my birthday present for him. I wanted to give him something that is useful. He loves anything about computers, guitars and guitar gadgets. I wanted to give him one of those but I find all of it very expensive. So, I thought of giving him a new watch because his watch is a bit worn already. I was browsing some watches online and I found Patek Philippe Watches. Their designs were nice and it’s indeed perfect for a birthday gift. But as I was checking on the price, I was so surprised to find out that I can’t afford any of those. (Ha.ha.ha.) Anyway, I will have to find another present that will be very special for hubby as well as practical for my pocket.

Humility

"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,
and He will lift you up"

James 4:10

God's ways are truly amazing. As they say, "the way up is to go down"...
I always believe in the blessing of being humble.
May this verse encourage us in our daily walk with God.

Communicating Online

I was so happy now that my hubby’s relatives are into learning online stuff. Just recently, my hubby’s uncle purchased his own webcam and PC mic so he can communicate to his siblings through voice chat. We prefer this kind of communication because it’s less expensive rather than using our cellular phones or landline phones. This has been the trend for most people now just like the singles of West Virginia. They communicate through west virginia chat lines and they are enjoying every moment they have from this website.

It's a Holiday! Again...

No it's not Labor Day here in the Philippines, but the President declared this day as a non-working day for all Filipinos to give respect to the leader of Iglesia ni Cristo who died just recently. We always have this non-working holiday since Pres. Cory Aquino died. Guess what? This coming September 21 will be another non-working holiday here in the Philippines because it's going to be the end of Ramadan.

Anyway, I'm just thankful for non-working holidays. It's a time for me to do a lot of household chores, watching DVDs and REST afterwards. Hmmm.. I wonder if there's another holiday on October.
