JESUS is the GIFT

He is PEACE...
He is JOY...
He is LOVE...

He is every good gift from God's heart to ours.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father.
- James 1:17 NIV

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Last-Minute Christmas Shopping

Have you finished your holiday shopping? Do you have all your gifts wrapped and ready? I am now 95% ready with all my gifts. That means, it is not yet complete and hopefully I can finish everything tomorrow. I’m having difficulty on what to give for my brothers. As usual, it’s always difficult for me to look for gifts for men. I was supposed to go out tonight to buy additional gift items but I am not feeling well so I just stayed home and list all the possible gift ideas for my brothers. So here’s what I have on my list:

1. T-Shirts – I wanted give them personalized Christmas T-shirt, but if I can’t find any, a simple shirt with nice prints would do.

2. Belts – Casual belts for my brothers will do. I find it good to give them belts but I am not so sure about their waistline. Anyway, this would be my last option if I can’t find any.

3. Handkerchief – An All-White men’s handkerchief is also nice. Added to that, it’s very affordable.

4. Sunglasses – My younger brother loves Aviator sunglasses. So, I would probably buy one for him.

5. Chess Set – This is one of my brother’s favorite board games. I don’t know how to play chess but I enjoyed watching them when they play.

I will have my last-minute Christmas shopping tomorrow. I hope I can find the best gift for my brothers.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Isaiah 9:6

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. "

Jesus is the child given to the world so you and I can become God's child. What greater gift can we have than Jesus, and through Jesus, God as our Father.

A blessed Christmas everyone!

Party All the Way!

This week is a busy week for me because I'll be joining a lot of Christmas parties. Today, we had our school's Christmas party for all Kinder 1 pupils. It was a great party as the parents and kids had so much fun especially with the party games. Tomorrow, we will be having another Christmas party for all Nursery pupils in the morning and all Kinder 2 pupils in the afternoon. On the 20th, Sunday will be our church's Christmas party. I am the one who's tasked with the program and I am now planning of some nice ideas for it. But for now, I guess I will have to sleep for me to gain more strength. I will be needing a lot of it for me to join all these parties.

iTunes on Facebook

I was doing something yesterday and I wasn’t able to finish it because I was hooked with Facebook. What I enjoyed most about it is browsing over my friend’s photos and read their funny comments. I also love to play Farm Town when I am not busy. I also take the time to browse some pages and find something that interests me.

Just today, I discovered iTunes on Facebook. Blackhawk Network, the largest provider of gift cards sold in grocery and convenience stores throughout the U.S. and Canada has provided a way for all Facebook users to purchase and send iTunes Online to your family and friends. All you have to do is to click on the iTunes Fan Page and choose a themed design and send it to your friend’s Facebook wall. If you’re the recipient of the gift, you can redeem your online gift on the iTunes store. With just one click, you will have the opportunity to choose from the world’s largest selection of music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks and more. Isn’t this fun? You can now give Christmas gifts to your family and friends through Facebook.

Luke 16:10

Life isn’t just made up of big trials. Life is minute-by-minute, a precious gift of sixty-second opportunities. God wants to use some of these little opportunities to prepare us for the BIG things. He uses them to mold us into the people he wants us to be. Let us be faithful with little things now and be ready for the BIG things he has prepared for us in 2010.

"If you are faithful in little things,
you will be faithful in large ones.
But if you are dishonest in little things,
you won't be honest with greater responsibilities.
Luke 16:10 (New Living Translation)

Christmas Shopping

I'll be going out this afternoon because my cousins invited me for a Christmas Shopping. Every Christmas we always have this habit of giving gifts to our loved ones. That is why, today is a shopping day for all of us. I just hope we can find affordable gift items at the shops today, but I'm sure there's plenty of it. Anyway, I will not be spending much today because I have already bought some gifts for my family. All I need to do right now is to buy stuff for myself. LOL!

The Surprise Christmas Party

Last December 8, 2009 we have planned a surprise party for my cousin's family (they are God's workers in Thailand). It was an advanced Christmas party for the family because they will not be spending Christmas here in the Philippines. It's a church activity and I was the one who coordinated it. I have been thinking and praying about it a lot of times because I want it to be a special party for them. We all agreed to give gifts to the family, at the same time we also planned to wear something red for the affair. Since my cousin's family didn't knew about the plan, we just brought them red shirts and gave it to them during the party.

It was truly a joyful fellowship with one another. I just thanked God for giving me wisdom and for giving me church mates who were so supportive about the plan. Truly the Lord ordered everything that everyone of us truly enjoyed the event. My cousin and her family were truly grateful about it and end up the party with tears of joy.

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Though we've been hearing a lot of Christmas tunes nowadays, but I still would like to share this song "Great is Thy Faithfulness". As we celebrate Christmas and the end of the year, may we all be reminded of God's great faithfulness.

God bless you all!
