In Persecution...

How do you respond to persecution? Was there a time that you were discouraged? I have been there before. It's so painful to feel especially when people try to accuse you. But I have realized that those pains were nothing compared to the pain God suffered on the cross. I have learned today to forget about those people who have accusing tongues and just delight on the Lord's goodness.

Psalm 31:19-20

How great is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you,
which you bestow in the sight of men
on those who take refuge in you.

In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from the intrigues of men;
in your dwelling you keep them safe
from accusing tongues.

When we are overwhelmed with persecutions and accusations, God is there to protect us.

Mellow Yellow Monday: "Happy Girls"

MellowYellowBadge

This photo was taken last year during our church VBS activity. I am so blessed to have these kids because they didn't gave me a hard time during the entire VBS session. Each time they come to class, you can always see the excitement on their faces. Now that it's summer time, they are looking forward for another VBS class.

I love Pens

I love collecting pens of different kinds. Even though it's only a tiny piece of thing but I appreciate it when people gave me a pen as their gift. Much more if they will give me personalized pens, I will truly leap for joy. I don't know why I am so fascinated with pens. Maybe because my mom is a teacher and she have plenty of it. When I was still a little girl, I often used her pens to scribble just about anything I can think of. I often write love letters and stories that only my mom can appreciate. Through her pens, I also started making my own paper dolls and shared it with my cousins. Sometimes, I invited my cousins in our house and play pretend teachers.

Now that I am also a teacher, I also have lots of pens of different kinds and colors. Everyday, I brought it with me and people would usually borrow my pens. It's good to let others borrow my pens but oftentimes they fail to return it. That is why I keep on buying pens all over again. Good that there are now affordable stylish pens which I can easily give away when people wanted to borrow my pens.

Anniversary Gift

It’s going to be our 3rd wedding anniversary this coming Tuesday. As of today, we don’t have plans yet because I still have chicken pox. I will just wait for hubby’s surprise that day. (If there is..) Anyway, last Wednesday I have already received an early wedding anniversary gift from my cousin. She’s always giving me gifts and this time she gave me a cash gift. What was funny about it was that, she send me a personal message on what to do with the gift. I truly appreciate her generosity.

Talking about gifts, I still haven’t thought of what to give for hubby on our special day. He seem to love guitars, guitar gadgets and everything about computers. But these things are truly expensive and I can’t afford any of these. He also doen’t like to receive expensive gifts from me. A simple gift is what he truly appreciates. Anyway, I think I will have to think about it over and over again. Hope I can give something special.

Are you okay now?

I have been receiving calls and text messages lately asking me this question: "Are you okay now?" Thank God, I'm okay now. In fact I can do household chores now, without worrying about getting fever and body pains. My chicken pox rash are getting dry already except on the lower limbs. Tomorrow and until next week, I will still be at home because I'm still contagious and I don't want people to suffer the discomforts of having chicken pox.

Anyway, despite all of these... I am still thankful to God for this experience.

Paying the Hospital Bill

Two years ago, hubby's grandmother was hospitalized. She suffered pain in her stomach and the doctors advised her to stay in the hospital for a week. While she was in the hospital, the doctors gave her treatment that was so expensive. That was because all the treatments were in vials in order that her stomach won't get any complications.

After a week, it was time to pay the bills. It amounted to thirty five thousand pesos. Our cash during that time wasn't enough to pay the hospital bill because we still have to wait for our money to be transferred in our local bank. We also don't want to spend all of the remaining cash that we had because we still have to buy her medicines. But during that time, I never worry about how are we going to settle the bills because all of us have credit cards and we can always enjoy the advantages of credit cards. We can pay the bills anytime we want to. Hubby used his credit card to pay the bills. So without delay, hubby's grandmother was out in the hospital in just a matter of minutes. Great isn't it?

I Miss Blogging!

I had chicken pox starting last Thursday and that means I will be staying home for at least two weeks or more. Although it's a bit frustrating to see my face right now (with rash all over), but I am just so thankful to God for His grace is ever sufficient.

Anyway, because I am just at home... I was reminded to update this blog. Although I am also busy doing other online tasks but I just miss writing about my life and sharing abut how I feel and etc. I miss blog hopping, I miss reading blog posts, I miss my blogger friends and I miss everything about the blogosphere.

I hope to update more often.

Need Some Help?

I know of somebody who is currently under the influence of drugs. He is acting normally, but most of the time he’s acting weird. Sometimes he just seem to disappear and his family doesn’t know about his whereabouts. He returns after a month or two as if nothing happens. His family has been trying to understand what he is going through but most of the time they can 't bear the burden of dealing with him and his problem.

For most people, one good solution for this is to bring him to a drug rehabilitation center wherein he can be provided with better help about his problem. He can also have the opportunity to learn about his addiction and allows him to find out what triggers it. One thing that I am looking for in a drug rehab center is a program which will help the person not just on emotional aspect but as well as on the spiritual aspect of his life. I believe that once a person will have a personal encounter with the Lord he will then likely to have a changed life, a happy life, a life free from drugs.

Busy?

Yes I am.

It's already the month of March and the school year is about to end. I am now busy preparing things for our final exams and closing program. Aside from that I am also busy doing household chores because we don't have a housemaid anymore. Lastly, I'm busy doing other things... FB and blogging. :)

Hope I can complete all my tasks this week. :)
