Look Into My Eyes

Every time I say something very important I always asked my students to look me in the eyes. I always make sure that I get their attention. Children are easily distracted so whenever I give a very important instruction I make sure that they are focused to everything I have to say. I also taught them to look at the person's eyes whenever they say "I'm sorry" to prove their sincerity.

One day, one of my students hurt his classmate. So I called him and asked him about the mistake he had done. He didn’t bothered to listen to me so I approached him. I told him to look me in the eyes and he was kind of shy when he looked at me. I told him that what he did was wrong and he needs to say sorry to his classmate and so he did.

After my class this morning, I noticed that my eyes were itchy. I guess its an allergic reaction to dusts so I looked at my face on the mirror. Oh, I noticed some lines on my eyes now, a sign of aging. A few years from now, I'm sure the kids won't love to look at this eyes. I guess I need to visit www.wrinkleeyecream.org to check out the cream that would fit my skin type as well as my budget.

Rain, Rain Go Away!

Whenever it rains, our streets are filled with water and it's very difficult to pass through because it will then become so muddy. Our slippers and shoes gets messy every time we pass the streets. The neighborhood association have been asking the help of the local officials to fix the road problem but until now there was no action because of lack of funds and other problems. As for now, the only solution for people is to wear rain boots to keep their feet clean, or they can hire a public utility vehicle.

Last week, it rained so hard but good thing the streets were not filled with water. I love rainy days, but our street problem on drainage system has not been addressed. So I guess I will just have to wait for it to be fixed and will just have to say rain, rain go away!... for now.

Hey Sexy!

I just came home from a 2 day retreat and the experience was so great. One of the topics discussed during the retreat was making marriage as one of life's priority. The most exciting part was the sharing time where men shared their experiences with their wives. One guy shared something about loving his wife no matter how she looks now. Even though his wife is now so big he still call her sexy because he loves her wife and he wants people to see that he's proud of his wife. He even suggested to let her wife wear the clothes that would make her feel good in the inside, probably like apple bottom clothings and he wouldn't mind how she looks like. For him, his wife is the only beautiful woman in the world. He calls his wife sexy.

Shimmering Stones

My cousin is into selling silver jewelries. I like her products because the designs are all unique. It was specially handcrafted from Thailand. Most of the products that are popular among her customers are those jewelries that has precious stones. Ladies ear rings and children's rings were all sold out because of the beautiful stones in it. The stones look so attractive that some would thought they were real diamonds. I know that diamonds are expensive but for all of us who can't afford to have one, a nice jewelry that has shimmering stones would just be fine.

Exercise for Lazy People

Is there such a thing? I'm sure most lazy people like me would also be curious to find out what this is all about. I was browsing nutrisystem reviews online but I was caught reading the article "Exercise for Lazy People". I thought you won't do anything but you still have to do something to keep your body moving. One of the suggestions is to get exercise videos and do them right at your living rooms. Another exercise would be to consider gardening. Your legs will get its killer workout through the squatting and standing while pulling out the weeds. You can also opt to buy a stationary bike. You can watch your favorite movie at the same time exercising on that stationary bike. Great suggestions isn't it? I guess these suggestions are just simple enough to do.

Pregnancy Issues

Most of my friends and relatives are curious why I haven't conceived yet. I just told them maybe it's not yet God's time for me to have a baby. I know that will come in God's perfect time. I understand their excitement to see my offspring, but it just can't happen this time. Some of my friends suggested to go to an ob-gyn for a check up and some suggested to try the best vitamins for women to help me easily get pregnant. I appreciate all their concern and their suggestions were indeed good. One of these days I may consider all their suggestions and at the same time I will also have to be patient to wait for that blessing to come. While waiting, I will have to enjoy life and count all my blessings.

Tears of Joy

Hubby had his check up to the doctor yesterday. He wasn't feeling good yesterday and he asked to bring him to the hospital. We spent hours of waiting for the doctor in the hospital and while waiting, I can sense that hubby is trying to say something... but he just can't. (I don't know what it was...)

He had undergone a test and we were so anxious to find what the result was. At 4:00 PM the doctor came and told us about the result. When the doctor told him that the result was normal, hubby was in tears (thanking God) that he was okay. He was facing the doctor wiping his tears. I felt what was in his heart, I was also crying. The doctor laughed at us and asked us why are we crying... I just smiled.

We left the hospital that day with great JOY knowing that God truly heals us in our sicknesses. When I reached home my heart was full of thanks that I can't stop praising God for his goodness. I was all the more encouraged when I read my bible.

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name
.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him
.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation
."

What to Do With Old Clothes?

I have read an article about health and fitness and I was caught with this question, "If you lose, what to do with old clothes? I haven't experienced this yet because I haven't taken any supplements for weight loss, but if that happens I won't keep old clothes with me. I guess I would have to give it to someone who might needs it. After all I won't be needing those clothes especially that I have already achieved my desired body weight and body figure.

Some people suggested to donate the clothes to a charity. Others thought of keeping them and organize a garage sale. Some thought of keeping it even if they won't be using it anymore. These are their thoughts about the question. What about you? What will you do with your old clothes?

Sports Day 2010

Our school is going to have a Sports Day this coming Friday. My students are excited about it because it's going to be a day of great fun and excitement. The parents are excited too because we have informed them that they will also be joining the games. Some of the parents told me that the sports day will be a good opportunity for them to keep their bodies fit. They were complaining about their bulging tummies and the sports day will be a good start to keep their bodies moving. Some of the parents have tried using top diet pills so they are not so excited compared to the other moms. But no matter what their reasons are, I just hope we will all enjoy the activity... more games, more fun!

Mellow Yellow Monday: Flip-Flops

This is my new flip-flop which I bought at Crocs store at 80% discount. When my mother in law bought her pair it was kind of expensive. So, when I found out that it was on sale I immediately bought one.

The Jeepney Ride

I went to visit my mom last Friday and rode a jeepney to reach her place. While inside the jeep, I saw one man holding a cigarette. I was looking for the "No Smoking" sign but I can't find it. All I did was just looked him straight in the eye and let him understand that what he was doing wasn't fair because there are other people who are non-smokers. I guess my sarcastic look didn't worked at all so I kindly asked him to please take his cigarette away and have it somewhere else. But if he insist and can't control his cigar cravings, he can opt for electronic cigs where other people wont be affected because there will be no smoke or combustion. He was kind of frustrated when I asked him to put away his cigar, but thank God he was gentleman enough and did just what I have told him.

Well if you happen to be in this kind of situation and you are a non-smoker like me, what do you think you would do?

Hair Cutting Lessons

My husband is so lazy to go to a barber shop and have his hair cut. He would often tell me, if only he could cut his own hair then he would do it. A few weeks ago I decided to buy a scissor and do some experiments on his hair. The first hair cut was okay but nobody noticed that he has a new hair cut. Of course, I didn't cut it so short as I am still afraid on what might happen to his hair. The other week came and I again cut his hair. This time I made it a little shorter and he told me it was nice but still needs a little bit of perfection. Yesterday, I again cut his hair and I decided to cut his hair short... really short. While cutting his hair, he was busy watching a movie on his PC which means he is not so concerned about his hair. After an hour of cutting his hair he was so surprise to find out that his hair is indeed short. He immediately look at the mirror but I was so happy to see him smiling. Thank God he like his haircut.

My next step is to look for videos on YouTube and learn haircutting lessons...
