Photo Sharing

My good friend is now living in California because she married a Filipino guy who lives there. She is now working as a nurse and her husband is into real estate. I was so happy to hear the news that she’s already 5 months pregnant. Now, she’s updating me with her pregnancy through chats and most of the time photo sharing. I was so happy to see that she looks beautiful at her pregnancy … must be a girl? I hope so!

Photo sharing with her through the net is fun but sometimes there’s a delay in sending the photos especially if the photos are too large. Sometimes we just skipped the larger photos and proceed to the next one. Most of the time, we couldn’t share photos and decided to just share photos on Facebook. I hope she can try digital photo frames. It’s a digital frame that automatically displays photos and can be shared directly to families and friends. It can send photos from your camera or computer directly to the frame and it can also upload photos directly from phone or email. It’s unique because it connects via existing phone lines or wi-fi. It’s a very convenient way of sharing photos without consuming much of your time. I hope my friend can have this before giving birth so I can easily get an update from her.

On December 31...

What are your plans on the last day of 2010? Most New Year’s Eve in parties and social gatherings, noise making and enjoying music. But the usual thing we do is just spend the night together, singing, watching fireworks and enjoy great food. Oftentimes my mother in law would usually encourage everyone to wear clothes with dotted prints.

For this year, I’m planning of doing something new for our New Year’s Eve gathering. Instead of wearing clothes with dotted prints, why not wear something special like a gown, a prom dress or a formal gown. I’m excited about it but I am not sure if everyone will agree with my plan. I think this plan is good if we can spend the New Year’s Eve on a nice fancy place. But if they won’t agree with my plan, I still go with the usual New Year’s Eve gathering. What is important is that we enjoy our time together as a family.

Get Together

Every 25th of December, one of my relatives invites us to her house for a family gathering. Last Saturday, we went to her house and all the relatives were there. It was a wonderful time to meet together and enjoy each other’s presence.

We had three grandmothers who joined us in the get together. Even though they were not that strong enough, they still managed to travel and enjoy the celebration. The grandmothers were so blessed because they were accommodated very well. They were served with great foods and seated in a home theater seating while watching their favorite TV show. While the granny’s are enjoying their chitchats inside the room, we also enjoyed talking with each other at the dining area.

We had games that day. We had so much laughter and most of all we all went home filled with joy because the host was so generous enough to give us Christmas gifts. No wonder she is so blessed because she never fails to share her blessings. Bless her heart!

Let's Go to Sydney!

It was time for my Geography class and my lesson was all about the country Australia. My students were very excited about the lesson because they enjoy pretend play as if they were travelling to Australia. While they were seated on their chairs, I asked them to fasten their seat belts because we are riding in an airplane going to Australia. They were all giggling and were acting as if they were travelers.

I put photos of the platypus, the kangaroo and the famous koala bear and I told them we have already arrived in Australia because we can already see the animals. They were all very happy knowing each animal. I also introduced to them the beautiful landmarks of Australia including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbor Bridge and the famous Sydney Tower Sky Walk. They were interested with Sydney Tower Sky Walk adventure because I told them that people can have a 360 degree view of Sydney while standing in one of the edge of their steel buildings. They felt a bit scared with my story but some of the kids find it very interesting. I also told them that people can also climb on the Sydney Harbor Bridge where they get to wear grey suits.

After my lesson, the kids were talking about Australia and all its landmarks. If God will bless me to travel, I would definitely love to go to Sydney.

Loosing Important Data

We are now living in a high tech society wherein computers, cellphones and other electronic gadgets play an important role in our day to day lives. I for one, can’t live a day without using my computer because of my online job. Other businesses and companies depends solely on computers. For people on the go, their mobile phones are as important as their computer. All of us have important data stored in our computers and cellphones and we wouldn't want to lose all of them. But oftentimes, we experience computer malfunction and our important data could be lost forever. Same with our cellphones and iPhones, we can also experience lose of contacts, text messages and other important reminders.

With this kind of problem, there are now data recovery services in order to help us solve this. Data recovery allows us to retrieve our data from damaged or corrupted storage media. If you need help on this, you can contact an IT professional or a company that provides data recovery services. Some companies provides you with data recovery software, hard drive data recovery, back-up data recovery services and more depending on your situation.

For cellular phones and iPhones, there is a special device that is inserted on the phone to retrieve deleted messages and other important data. It's a great gadget not just to retrieve data but to also check on your cheating spouse. It is also a great tool to protect your children from unknown callers and texters. You can buy this special gadget for your new Blackberry or Android phone and not worry about loosing important data.

Praying for Them

As everyone is enjoying the Christmas season, I am reminded to pray for those people who needed encouragement because of the hardships and trials they've experience for these past months. I am praying for those people who are sick right now with cancer and other diseases. I am praying for my friends who have experienced a loss of a loved one.

Is there someone you know this Christmas who need your prayers? Let us not forget them and remember them in our prayers.

Play Time

One of the things I enjoy most at school is to play with kids. Kids love to play and they often asked me if they can play after doing a seat work. As kids I let them play and I make sure that they enjoy it. Play is very important to the development of the little kids because it contributes to their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth. It also gives me the opportunity to engage in my students and establish relationship among them.

As their teacher, I wanted to provide them with fun and enjoyable play experience. How I wish we have wrestling mats in school so the kids can do anything they want. But despite the limited play materials we have, the kids still enjoys playing and learning.

Wedding Gifts

My brother got a lot of wedding gifts today. Actually, I haven’t given them my wedding gift because I still can’t decide on what to give them. I saw a lot of boxes today and most probably inside those gifts were mostly items that can be used at home. If ever they will spend a year here in the Philippines, then maybe a modern furniture would be perfect as a wedding gift. But they will not be staying too long here so I guess I will have to think of other gifs that they can use as they start their lives together as husband and wife.

A Trip to the Spa

One of my Christmas wish is to spend a day at the spa. I would love to spend a day relaxing and enjoying massage, facials and other body treatments. While watching TV, I saw a beautiful day spa that has a very nice ambiance . They even have customized hot tub covers and spa covers. If I will be given a chance to visit that spa, I would surely enjoy my experience because of its very relaxing environment.

I am hoping that one of these days I will have my trip to the spa. Maybe I can do this during Christmas break. Well, I hope I will have lots of money by then.

Undecided...

Our neighbor sent us insurance quotes today so she can now process our car's registration. But hubby has not decided yet whether to have it registered or not. The year is about to end and we will be paying the same amount for the registration. We only have four more months until the next registration and he finds it very expensive to pay again after four months. On the other hand, he also wanted to have the car registered so we can use our it especially during times of emergencies.

Well, I think we still need to talk about this and hoping we'll end up with a good decision.

Tub Time

Have you ever had your trip to the tub lately? According to studies, taking time into the tub is a proven stress reliever. It calms the lungs, heart, stomach, and endocrine system. How I wish we have soaking tubs at home where I can spend time relaxing after a tiring day at school. Anyway, I am hoping to have one when I will have a house of my own.

To get the most out of your tub time, don’t make your water too hot or too cold. It is more comfortable when your body doesn't feel the temprature at all. My cousin loves to spend time in the tub and she spent it using aromatic oils like mint or lavender. You can also schedule your tub time before bedtime to help you fall asleep more easily.
