Exam Papers

I am thankful that I am now done with preparing exam papers for my pre-school kids. Although it’s easy to make one, but it’s time consuming. What makes it time consuming is that, I will have to put pictures and other graphics that will suit the type of exam for the kids. Most of the pre-school kids can’t read yet, so I prefer to give them exam papers with lots of graphics.

To make my work easier next school year, I am planning to buy a scanner that has scanner software that is not loaded with unnecessary features. I wanted it to be simple as it is so I can easily get specific pictures for my exam papers.

Rainy Days

It is supposed to be the start of the sunny season here in the Philippines but it is always raining every now and then and it seems that the weather is so unpredictable these days. Yesterday it rained from the morning and until the afternoon. My cousin told me that we should buy long sleeve clothes and women's rain boots because rainy days will be until the summer season as reported by the weather department. Is this true? Oh, I guess I will always have to bring my umbrella and I will have to take care of myself so I will not get sick.

Retreat 2011

Last January 2-4, 2011, hubby and I went for a retreat. It was a retreat scheduled by our church to spend time with God and ask for His direction for the year 2011. It was a timely retreat because we are about to start the year and it’s good to start it with God.

We spent the retreat in one of the hotels here in our city. We enjoyed the place as it was quiet and it gave us time to relax and learn more from God. Our pastor told us that by next year, we will still be doing the same activity. We will start the year spending time with God and plan for our activities.

I hope we can find another suitable place for our retreat next year. A place like Kitty Hawk vacation rentals is one of the places I wanted because the place is not just serene but it also allows you to enjoy the beauty of nature. If we can find a place something like this next year, our retreat will surely be memorable.

Family Picture

Last January 2010 we had our Family picture together at AGFA Photo Studio. We had a number of photos taken and below is one of the photos we had.

We are planning to have another family photo shoot this month but some of the family members are now in Manila so we can't still plan on the final schedule yet. We hope to have our family photo shoot the soonest time when other family members can go home. While waiting for them we will try to look for other photographers that offers great pictures.

Are You Pregnant?

My friend went to Dahilayan Bukidnon for a Zip Line Adventure. She was with her husband and some friends. She bought the ticket for the “all rides” which cost her 600 pesos. When it was her turn to do zip line, one of the staff stopped her and asked if she’s pregnant. Pregnant women are not allowed to do zip line for safety purposes. She was laughing… and she told the man that she just had a big tummy. She find the experience funny but at the same time she was more motivated to look for weight loss pills that work for women who don’t do exercise.

Limit my Spending

Last Christmas I was very happy because I was able to buy gifts for my family and friends. I enjoyed the spirit of giving and sharing but after all the fun and excitement I noticed that my money was gone very quickly. I didn’t notice it because I was attracted to buy affordable items because of the great deals. Although it wasn’t Cyber Monday but there were lots of affordable products that urged me to buy. That is why today, I am controlling myself not to buy anything because I have to limit my spending.

I was at the mall yesterday and I found great deals on some items. But I told myself to buy it next time whenever I have extra money. With the start of the New Year, I guess I need to think of my priorities first before buying anything.

SIAM by Krua Thai

Last December, my high school friends invited me for a dinner. My friend Sheryl suggested to dine at Siam, a Thai restaurant located at Lim Ket Kai Center.

I find the restaurant very nice. The ambiance is very relaxing and the entire place looks so neat and elegant. The light fixtures were properly designed as it creates the entire mood of the restaurant. In fact, it is very easy to locate Siam because there's no other restaurant along Rosario Arcade that is well lighted. Gold art pieces were also placed on walls to create a Thai inspired atmosphere.

Their staff are very friendly and their food is yummy. If you will try to check their price list, you can say that it's affordable but the serving is just good for 1-2 persons. In my own opinion, dining in this restaurant is a bit expensive but with the nice ambiance and yummy foods I think it's just worth it.

Happy New Year!

Everyone of us is so excited to welcome the new year. As for me, I thank the Lord for giving me a new year as it gives me the opportunity to start anew. Although there are many uncertainties in the world we live in, I only trust on the God who never change. For this year 2011, I am entrusting my life - my past, present and my future to my everliving God. I am confident that He will take care of me for this year and He will bless me in ways I can't imagine.
