Keeping in Shape

Its summer time and I am thankful that I am free in the morning. My teaching schedule is done only in the afternoon so I got to exercise in the morning. It’s been almost two weeks now that I have been doing Hip-Hop abs and I am hoping that I will be consistent with the schedule. I am not planning to have awesome abs but I just want to develop a healthy lifestyle.

Aside from the exercise, I am trying to eat healthy foods. I am still “trying” because I love eating especially fast foods. Anyway, I am also taking vitamins and health supplements and it helped me improved my immune system. I have heard that there are conjugated linoleic acid supplements which will help you burn fat easily. I haven’t tried this yet so I am not sure if it’s effective.

Proper exercise, right kinds of foods, and taking vitamins will surely help us keeping our bodies in shape. It requires discipline and it usually take a lot of time. But with patience, we will surely have a happy and healthy life.

Hulagway sa Kinabuhi: "Gugma" Means "Love"

This is my niece Chloe showing a heart sign. She told me that the heart symbolizes love so I guess this is the best picture that would symbolize "GUGMA" or "LOVE".

I find GUGMA or Love as the most important attribute that we should all have. If all of us think about loving at all times, I'm sure this world won't have any problems at all.

By the way mga ka BB, mag English sa ko karon ha... Kay kabalo sad baya ko mu-English! KUK!

Hulagway sa Kinabuhi: Elepante

This is a weekly meme in support for Bisdak Bloggers. Words below are written in Bisaya.

E- Elepante

Apan sa among pag suroy-suroy adunay elepante nilabay.

Car Wash Business

There are a lot of car wash businesses here in our city and it looks like it’s a booming business. My relative owns a car wash business and I’ve heard that they are earning quiet good with it.

I have been thinking about this business a few years ago, but the truth is, I don’t have any idea how to start. All I know is that cars are cleaned with the use of water, soap, teflon hose and a brush. But the truth is, putting up a car wash business is more than all of these. I still need to consider my location, my set-up cost and all these stuff.

Will I put up a car wash business now? Well, not for now. I think I still have to learn a lot of things for this. I still have to think clearly and critically whether this is really what I want.

Yummy Sunday: BBQ Station

Last Monday, hubby and I were very hungry. We decided to eat at BBQ Station near Xavier University and this is what we have. Hubby got 2 sticks of spicy bbq while I enjoyed the regular one. Because I was so hungry, I consumed 3 "puso". The meal wouldn't be complete without a cold coca-cola drink. Yummy!

Please visit my other blog Perfectly Blended for more of Yummy Sunday entries.

This is a weekly meme in support for Bisdak Bloggers. Words below are written in Bisaya.

Nalingaw kami ug langoy-langoy ug kaon daghan.

The Dress

I was reading my grandmother's blog ("A Glimpse of a Widow's Heart") and I was surprised to see one of her post about her daughter. Actually I was referring to my aunt Lalaine who was wearing the white dress during her graduation in grade school. After many years, her mom gave the dress to me so I could also wear it on my graduation day.
We both have the same dress and we both got an award on our graduation day. Do we look lovely on the white dress?

Until now, Lalaine and her family has been very generous in sharing their blessings to me. She gave me clothes and I know one of these days she will also pass on her maternity clothes to me.

More than that, I am thankful for her generous heart.

Before and After

These are my cousins Maris, Kizza and LJ. They were years younger than me and I consider them a great blessing because they help me a lot in some errands. I even made a post in my other blog and I call them my "Lovely Angels". This photo was taken four years ago and they all look so very young then. If I can remember they were still high school students then.

Now that they are in college, their looks have already change. Look at them now!
(so arte na! LOL..)

Summer Job

The Department of Education has made a special program to help students augment their school expenses for the next school year. They have this Summer Job Program wherein students will apply for a job for just a short period of time.

If you want to avail of this DepEd's Summer Job Program, all you have to do is to visit your nearest DepEd office or PESO office and apply their. Make sure you have high grades as this is one of their requirements. Also make sure that you will have a proof that you will be enrolling for the next school year. Poor but deserving students are prioritized in this program.

If you cannot avail of the program, fret not because you can still avail of some jobs online. You can either find a ppc agency and apply of their pay per click program. You can also start blogging and earn from it or you can update your twitter account and make money out of your tweets. There are indeed a lot of things you can make money from. All you have to do is to make the most of your summer vacation to earn and help your parents augment your school expenses.

Nindot ba?

Car Check

My husband has scheduled our car to have it checked next week because it has difficulty in going up to high places. We are not sure of what’s wrong with it but maybe its bearings are not anymore in place. Just this afternoon, we went to SM for lunch and we almost didn't make it because of the problem. Good thing, hubby just drives slow and we arrived there safely. It has been almost a year that the car has not been checked. I hope it will be okay the soonest time as possible.
