Looks like a Grandpa

My husband was fitting our friend’s prescription eyeglasses earlier this evening and he showed his face to me. I laughed. He was wondering why I was laughing at him and I told him he looks like a grandpa. Hubby wanted to buy prescription eyeglasses but he still needs to have his eyes checked with the doctor, but until now he wasn’t able to because of his busy schedule. I also told him that if ever he buys prescription eyeglasses, he will have to bring me along so I can choose a style for him that won’t make him look like a grandpa.

We're Going on a Camp!

We’ll be going on a camp this coming Friday. This is fun and exciting because we will be joining with the other youth in different churches here in Cagayan de Oro. What makes it more exciting is that the camp is designed to make every participant to learn about God as well to enjoy in the series of challenging activities. 

We are asked to prepare our tents, beddings and other stuff. We will be renting transportation in going to the camp site but we will have to use tie down straps to ensure our loads especially the bigger tents. My church mates are now excited about the camp. I just hope it won’t rain too hard on Friday so we can fully enjoy our camp.

Blessing Backpacks is Fun!

Last May 21, 2012 I had the opportunity to join the team from Concord Community Church in giving 1,000 backpacks to 1,000 kids who are victims of Typhoon Sendong (Washi).

It was a timely blessing for the kids because it's back to school time here in the Philippines.

The kids were very happy as the backpacks were handed to them. They can't help but smile and open it immediately. They were glad to see notebooks, pencils, pencil case, crayons, scissors and many others. Parents were also very happy because they will no longer buy bags and school supplies for their kids.

Thank you Concord Community Church for making events such as this. Thank you also to all the people who shared their blessings in making this event very successful. Indeed your generosity has touched the lives of many children here in Cagayan de Oro City.

Using an eBook Reader

My friend who is into online jobs has always been telling me about eBook reader and kobo reviews. Her online job requires her to have an eBook reader because she edits eBooks and other articles. Aside from her online job, she loves to read books and novels using her eBook. According to her, she has come across a lot of eBook reader and nothing is new about them except Kobo.
