No Money?

When I was still a little girl, I could always hear my mom with this phrase “I have no money” especially when I ask her to buy me a toy. At the back of my mind, I was wondering why my mom always doesn’t have money. When I was a bit older and able to understand things, she later made me understand that we can’t just buy anything we want at any given moment because there are other important things that need to be prioritized.

I can hear this phrase from other parents too. I think they just want to teach their kids to be practical. But when emergencies in the family come, we couldn’t say we have no money because we always wanted to give the best for our family. It’s very hard to see a love one who is sick, it’s such a sad site to see our children hungry, and it’s very painful seeing our love ones suffer from a financial need. For times like these, we always find a way to help our family in every way we can. But what to do when we don’t have the resources to help them? How are we going to help them when our payday is still at the end of the month?
