Aside from Bible verses, I love motivational quotes that serves an inspiration for daily living. One of the quotes I like is from Charles Swindoll, a pastor and an educator. His quote says “ Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it”.
This quote is all about attitude. Oftentimes in my life, I am faced with situations that are beyond my control. I don’t have control of other people’s reaction. I don’t have control of what is going to happen tomorrow. Moreover, I don’t have control of the situations around me. As Charles Swindoll said, “We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
This quote is a reminder that no matter what the situation, no mater how bad or uncontrollable it may seem, I will have to have a right attitude. Because what matters the most is how I respond to every situation. If I remain to have a right attitude, it will make a difference in all aspect of my relationships, my workplace and every other areas of my life.
How can we show right attitude? We must cooperate with others, lead by example, accept challenges, never complain, be kind and the list goes on.
Whenever things are not favorable for me, I am always reminded with these words from my mentor, “Right attitude, attracts heaven’s help.” So, when you can’t control things over, choose to think on the brighter side or things. Always look for that silver lining in every situation.
