The One Thing…

by Bogie January 9, 2020

This is my first blog post for 2020. As it has always been, I always start my year asking direction from God on what to do for the new year.

For this year, the Lord brought me to read this verse in Luke 10: 41- 42 which says,

“Martha, Martha you are worried and troubled about many things. But ONE THING is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

So what is this ONE THING that is only needful?

This one thing is all about my relationship with God. Just like Mary, I also need to choose this good part which is to choose Jesus Christ above anything else. All aspect in my life should yield to Him. My focus for this year is my relationship with God and nothing should divert me from this choice.

My focus for 2020 is choosing God more than anything else and the details is yet to unfold as I spend more time strengthening my relationship with Him.

It is my prayer, that you too will choose God this year. When you choose Him, it will surely not be taken away from you and you will surely have a meaningful year ahead of you.

Thank You 2019!

by Bogie December 28, 2019

A few more days and we will say goodbye to another year. The end of the year is a good time to look ahead and draw up a plan for what to do next. But before all the planning, it is always best to end the year with gratitude.

Here are 3 Ways to show Gratitude as you end the year 2019.

1.Let People Know that you Appreciate Them.

Don’t forget to thank the people around you who has made an impact in your life. Your parents, spouse, children or a friend. They need to know that they have been a blessing to you . It doesn’t cost you to appreciate someone. Before the year ends, make a list of people you are thankful for and appreciate them one by one.

2. Write “Thank You” Notes.

Thank you notes might be old fashion for some but gratitude implies action. In today’s time, you can now write “thank you” notes in a more creative way. You can now send digital “thank you” notes, cards or letters. Writing “thank you” notes is not costly at all.

3. Count your Blessings, rather than your Burdens.

Our attitude is greatly influenced by the way we see things. When we focus ourselves on the things we don’t have, we become discouraged and bitter. However, if we look at our blessings as little at may seem, we will begin to realize the need to be thankful. Being thankful is not dependent on our circumstances. Choose to be grateful and look beyond our problems as blessings. Remember, we can be grateful for difficult situations because they serve as learning experiences to teach us important lessons.

What are the blessings you have received this year? You can make a list starting today and I am sure your list will be endless. Don’t forget to give thanks to God for all that He has done this year.

I’d like to end my year 2019 reminding myself with this verse from the Bible:

Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 103:2-5

We should not fail to express our gratitude to God who gives us all the benefits especially this year. Many times God uses human benefactors and we should not forget to express our gratitude to them, parents, siblings, friends, employers, strangers, co-workers, fellow believers and others. Always remember, the least that God can give to us is enough. But most of the time, the Lord’s blessings is overflowing.

May you all have blessed New Year ahead!

My First Time to Buy an Insurance Online

by Bogie December 2, 2019

I have been hearing a lot of bad news lately. News about accidents, killings, and the most recent was the death of a friend’s husband. While contemplating about the events that took place, I can’t help but think and worry about the fact that wherever I go, I am not safe anymore.

It is this very reason that I have decided to buy myself an insurance. I found FWD Life Philippines online and I like it because I don’t have to deal with paper works and it is not complicated at all.

I bought the KanGuard, an insurance policy to help me prepare for life’s many risk. The insurance coverage is good for one year and it only cost P1,799 (P150/month). Affordable isn’t it?

Here’s how you can purchase Kanguard online at FWD insurance in 3 easy steps:

  1. Visit Shop@FWD
Click on the Buy Now button to purchase your desired insurance.

2. Choose a Kandu Plan and Enter your details

Make sure to provide your exact details. In this section you will also have to provide a scanned copy of your proof of identity (ID, passport and etc.)

Make sure to complete all the required details.

3. Confirm and Pay

Make sure that you have filled out the correct information. You can easily pay your insurance through a credit card or a debit card. Once payment is successful a confirmation will be provided. Expect a welcome email and SMS.

I’m happy to share this to you because I find this very easy and convenient. This is a good start to secure myself and my family and with God’s grace, I “CAN DO” the things that I want with no worries.

“I can do all things through CHRIST who gives me strength” – Philippians 4:13
