JaCo's Stopover

Road Trip and Breakfast at JaCo’s Stopover

by Bogie January 2, 2021

Road trips during this time of pandemic are one of the best activities for relaxation. It’s one of the ways of easing your mind off work and other matters. Not only that, it allows you to appreciate the beauty of nature, specific locations and landmarks as well as enjoy food discoveries. What I also like about road trips is the spontaneity of the travel. I like the idea of not following a specific routine and we can just stop whenever and wherever we want.

Just last month, my husband and I decided to have a road trip around Claveria, a municipality of Misamis Oriental. It’s an hour and a half drive from Cagayan de Oro City. Many people love to drive around this municipality because of its famous scenery and the cool and breezy weather.

At JaCo’s Stopover

Our first stop is at JaCo’s Stopover. It is located at Barangay Luna in Claveria, Misamis Oriental. It is one of the popular stopover along Route 955 (Villanueva-Claveria-Ginoog Road). We arrived at the place at around eight in the morning and we had breakfast. I was the only one who ordered food as my husband is not hungry yet. There are a lot of food choices but I just chose the Longganisa from the Breakfast menu. I have heard that JaCo’s is serving yummy “sikawate” (a choco drink) so I ordered one.

Jacos also serves kakanin like puto, suman, biko and many others. I wanted to order Kuchinta but I don’t like to eat too much when I am traveling. Moreover, you can also find pasalubong food items here. Their one of the best selling products is the Tablea which is good for making sikwate.

The food that I  ordered is just okay and the entire place looks very simple. It is just like dining in your garden. However, what you will enjoy is the cool breeze, the peaceful place and the experience of fresh air. A best place for relaxation.

Will I be coming back to this place? Definitely, Yes! I have yet to try their lunch menu and the Kakainin too!

Here’s a short video or our recent visit to JaCo’s.

Why I Enjoy Dining at Misto?

by Bogie May 11, 2019

Cagayan de Oro is filled with great places to dine. One of these is the Misto Restaurant at the 4th level of Seda Centrio. It’s one of my favorite dining places for meetings and special family gatherings because it is not just about food but the overall dining experience is truly wonderful. Here are 3 reasons why I enjoy dining at Misto.

Quality Food

Misto’s food is served with quality. It is well prepared by their expert chefs which makes you relish every bite of it. Dining at Misto truly gives you an awesome experience which is true to the hotel’s hashtag #DiscoverTheBestFeelingsInTheWorld. Misto’s latest offerings are Executive Lunch Sets and Food Platters.

Ambience

Misto’s decors and furniture are not just pleasing to the eyes but it gives diners a comfortable atmosphere. This peaceful and soothing atmosphere helps you shrug off your worries and allows you to just sit, catch up with friends and family while enjoying a sumptuous meal.

Excellent Customer Service

Misto always make their diners feel really special. The restaurant staff treats all diners with care and respect. They communicate well and are able to manage wait times efficiently.

For meetings and family gatherings I would definitely recommend dining at Misto. When my friends scheduled a catch up meeting a few weeks ago, I told them that we should meet at Misto. We truly enjoyed our time together and the night was truly fun and memorable.

Take Me Back to Nobu Hotel City of Dreams Manila

by Bogie November 13, 2018

I always love having the opportunity to travel and stay in luxurious hotels. Just recently, I had the opportunity to join connecteD by Blogapalooza and we were housed at Nobu Hotel City of Dreams Manila. It was my 3rd time being around in this beautiful hotel but every visit always gives me a feeling of wanting to stay for a bit longer.

City of Dreams
The moment I entered the hotel, the Japanese- inspired aesthetic is what I noticed. All the details speaks about beauty and perfection from decors, furniture and facilities. If you try to look around you can certainly say that everything has been planned rigorously to provide a relaxing venue for future guests.

Spacious and comfortable rooms with comfortable beds are also one of the few things I love about Nobu Hotel Manila. One time, my friend invited me for a walk around the hotel because it has beautiful lights during the night, but I chose to stay in my room because the bed is just simply irresistible. It was very comfy and the sheets are so soft.

I also love their breakfast buffet. They do not just serve Filipino food but Japanese food as well. Their breakfast will definitely make you full and happy. If you want to have a taste of everything they serve, you better wake up early.

Lastly, the friendly and courteous staff of Nobu Hotel Manila are highly commendable. All of them knows how to accommodate and care for their guests.

The total hotel experience is totally one for the books. Thank you Blogapalooza and Bloggamomma Ace Gapuz for bringing me here!
